KLORANE DRY SHAMPOO REVIEW

Dry shampoo is absolutely, without a doubt, one of my ride or die, can’t live without products.  As a full-time working mom with an obscene amount of hair, I rarely have time to style my hair, so when I do, I like to extend the wear on my somewhat groomed hair and the best way for me to do that is with dry shampoo.

I’ve tired quite a few dry shampoos in my day including some coveted brands like Oribe and Living Proof down to Bed Head and Not Your Mother’s (and many more in between!). I never thought that a non-aerosol dry shampoo would be effective, but I took a chance when I stumbled onto to this hidden gem.  Amazingly, Klorane Dry Shampoo immediately breathes volume into my roots and makes my hair look freshly washed after a few days without shampooing.

That little white spot you see near my roots is what one puff of this dry shampoo looks like before you massage it in. Once massaged in, it completely disappears in my hair.

Because this Klorane Dry Shampoo is non-aerosol, you have to squeeze the body of the bottle to get a small puff of powder to come out.  Once you have a few puffs, you simply massage it into your roots and BAM! Instant lift and the stands seem to be lighter.

This picture here was taken three days after last washing my hair, with the Klorane Dry Shampoo freshly applied.  Each and every day that I don’t have to wash and style my thick wavy hair is like a gift. That is why I’ve been “training my hair” to need to be washed less and less. The idea is that the more you shampoo your hair, the more oil your scalp produces. So by gradually increasing the amount of time between washes, you will be training your hair and scalp to produce less and less oil.  At this point I am able to go about 7 days between shampoos without going completely crazy (or looking it).

Above left you can see my hair after one week of not washing my hair with Klorane Dry Shampoo applied.  The next two pictures are of my hair freshly washed the next day. Trust me when I say, this dry shampoo makes a huge difference when applied to no-so-clean hair.

This non-aerosol bottle also seems to last way longer than any aerosol dry shampoo I have used before, which is a major plus.  So far, I am completely happy with with product, even though the squeeze bottle is not nearly as satisfying as misting your entire head with the push of a nozzle. Personal preference I suppose.
