This Frozen Yogurt Bark takes two healthy snack-time staples, whole fruit and yogurt, and freezes them into a fun snack to hand out on a hot day. The best part is, it only takes a handful of ingredients to make this cool treat. It’s also a great recipe for kids to help with or make all on their own.
Many, many (many) years ago, I remember freezing yogurt to make “frozen yogurt.” Literally. We froze them right in those little plastic containers that they came in. I don’t know why we decided that was a good idea, because chiseling off flakes of yogurt was really just an exercise in frustration. I think maybe we were supposed to wait a little bit longer until it started to soften, but who has that sort of discipline when faced with a frozen novelty? Certainly not me.
So when I discovered the genius of Frozen Yogurt Bark, I was hooked. By spreading the yogurt out in a thin layer and then freezing it, you get a frozen treat that freezes much faster and softens much faster. Plus it can be broken up into small serving sizes to pass out to the kids on a sunny day when they’re playing outside.
You can freeze the yogurt by itself, but I like to top it off with a myriad of toppings like fresh fruit, granola, mini baking chips or even a few nuts if I have any lying around. You could even melt some chocolate chips or white chocolate chips and drizzle it over the yogurt bark.
While I used vanilla yogurt, you could try using your favorite flavor such as strawberry or peach. I think both the old-school thin yogurt and the thicker Greek yogurt will work here, but I went with the classic, thinner yogurt.

- Peach yogurt topped with diced fresh peaches or nectarines and a sprinkle of granola.
- Chocolate yogurt (or vanilla yogurt mixed with a bit of cocoa powder) topped with mini chocolate chips
- Rainbow yogurt (swirl 2-3 colorful yogurts together) topped with rainbow sprinkles (kid favorite)

Ingredients
- 1 kiwi, diced
- 1 banana, thinly sliced
- ½ cup rasperries, cut in half
- ¼ shelled pistachios, finely chopped
- 1 (32 oz) container vanilla yogurt
Instructions
- Line a rimmed baking sheet with wax paper.
- Spread the yogurt in the lined pan in an even layer about ¼-1/3 inch thick. Top with kiwi, banana, raspberries, and pistachios, pressing gently into the yogurt.
- Freeze until solid, about 4 hours.
- Once solid, peel the wax paper off of the bark and break the bark into smaller pieces. Freeze in a freezer bag or storage container until ready to eat.
