Spooky Spiderweb Wreaths made from inexpensive embroidery hoops are a minimal and modern take on Halloween decorations.
My favorite crafts are holiday crafts that are used for decorations around the home. You’ve already seen my amazingly simple and chic Lace Ghosts and now I’m going to share with you these equally simple and affordable Spiderweb Halloween Wreaths.
These modern and minimal wreaths use embroidery hoops and that white spiderweb substance that you buy by the bag this time of year. To assemble you simple open the hoop to separate the two wood rings. Then, stretch a bit of the spiderweb material across the smaller hoop and slide the larger outer hoop back over the smaller hoop and tighten the hoop to close it.
Once you have the spiderweb material secured between the hoops, you trim off the excess and place a few lightweight plastic spiders on the web. You can do a bunch of tiny spiders or one or two big ones.
I made three wreaths of varying sizes for interest on my dining room wall.
If you want to customize this wreath and make it a little more colorful, you can paint the embroidery hoops first, then do the spiderweb part. Trim it with a fun ribbon on the top that you can use to hang it too. Of course, I didn’t do that part. I left mine in the simplest state. I could even reuse the hoops for another project once Halloween is over, by simply opening the hoops and taking the spiderweb material off!
