Before the chilly days of winter set in, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite fall dresses.  This gorgeous flowy embroidered minidress from Free People has been in their collection for a few years now, for good reason.  It is super comfortable and very forgiving unlike some dressed out there (I’m looking at you body con!!).  While I usually get a small in Free People, I sized up on this dress to a medium, as some reviewers noted it can be snugger than usual in the chest.  BUT, I am a medium in many other clothing brands. So, if you have never worn Free People before, go with your normal size (if that makes sense).

The length is just long enough for me to get away with wearing it as a minidress in the summer or a tunic in the colder months. When wearing this as a minidress, I highly recommend wearing a pair of mini shorts with it to allow for all the necessary movements of the day like bending over, reaching up high, and sitting down. As the colder weather creeps in, I plan on pairing this little frock with tights or even some black skinny jeans.

The boots you see here are incredibly comfortable and perfectly distressed from Steve Madden’s Freebird line. I absolutely love the attention to detail in every pair of shoes from this boutique line. This particular pair, which I picked up on a trip to Santa Fe, is called Clive and I have it in the shade Cognac.  Fit is true to size and allows for socks nicely.
