This smoothie incorporates the often-overlooked superfood cauliflower, which provides vitamin c, fiber, potassium, folate, vitamin B6 and even omega-3 fatty acids! The list of accolades goes on and on like that high school valedictorian, but what is important here is that the cauliflower imparts essentially no flavor to the smoothie and even adds creaminess. Can it get much better?
Yes, but only because I’ve also upped the creaminess with half of an avocado, which we all know is good for your brain.
To prepare this frosty treat, you should slice and freeze the bananas beforehand. While you can freeze your own cauliflower, I used store-bought frozen cauliflower. Look for the frozen “riced cauliflower” to really make it easy.
Add in some almond milk, half of an avocado, and a bit of cinnamon and you are on your way to sipping serenity. If you like your smoothies sweet, you can opt to add a touch of honey as well, but it’s not necessary to hold your drink together.
This smoothie is perfect for picky eaters, health nuts, and foodies alike. Simple, delicious, and oh-so good for you.
