This velvety chocolate mousse is at once decadent and light, with a creamy texture and rich chocolate taste. Best of all, it only takes 10 minutes and 3 ingredients to make!
Now I can’t take credit for this genius dish. It’s a Martha Stewart recipe and a darn good one if you ask me. Dress it up with some cinnamon and vanilla for a bit of Mexican flair or add a pinch of instant espresso to intensify that deep chocolate flavor.
I recommend using bittersweet chocolate chips or chopping up a good quality dark chocolate bar because the sweetened condensed milk adds enough sweetness to the recipe as is. You can serve this gorgeous mousse up in a serving bowl and let folks help themselves, or portion it out into small bowls or ramekins like I did here.
Whip up the remaining ¼ cup heavy cream you will have leftover if using a pint for that heavenly dollop on top. Just add in about 2 teaspoons powdered sugar for sweetened whipped cream.
